"A Woman in the West" is a fifteen-minute fable about a frontier wife who is tough, independent, and willing to do whatever is necessary to protect her husband and her home. Reuniting three stars from the HBO series Deadwood and featuring a supporting cast of faces familiar from network television, A Woman in the West boasts outstanding performances from Paula Malcomson (Deadwood, Battlestar Galactica Prequel: Caprica), Peter Jason (Deadwood, The Other Side of the Wind), Larry Cedar (Deadwood, Hollywoodland), Stephen W. Bridgewater, Dan Conroy, James Harper, Stuart Pankin and Keith Stevenson. The original score includes Tawny Ellis’s latest hit “Evolve or Die,” a breathtakingly beautiful ballad she performs accompanied by ace session players whose collective résumé includes significant contributions to the music of Elton John, Everlast, Black-Eyed Peas, and Queen.
